Now that you have good reasons to study in Spain, let’s discuss the requirements to do so. Below, we will walk you through things you need to complete before your departure.

Approval of Studies

If you have chosen a university or vocational program in Spain, you may need to take an admission or entrance exam. In this case, you will need to submit your studies to the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports (MECD). Through the MECD, the government of Spain will verify if you meet the level required to study at that facility and, if not, the exams you will need to take.

Certain postgraduate studies may also need to approve your courses before admission. The approval process depends on the institution that you plan to attend. In this case, be sure to inquire about the admission requirements through the school administration office, which brings us to the next task.

Course Prerequisites

Since every school or university has an admissions process, you will need to check this in advance. For example, they may request that you have completed certain previous courses, have a certain proficiency level of Spanish or English, among others. We recommend that you check with the educational institution of your choice about each admission requirement, depending on the program you are interested in studying.
