Student Visa (Subclass 500)

With a student visa, you are allowed to take any course in Australia lasting from 3 months to 5 years! In addition, you can travel in and out of Australia and work 48 hours bi-weekly. The requirements to apply for a student visa are as follows:

  • Present an official identity document other than your passport.
  • Submit the Confirmation of enrollment or letter of acceptance, which certifies that you have enrolled in an institution accredited by the Australian government.
  • Demonstrate that you have the necessary resources to pay for the course and cover your expenses.
  • Sign the Australian Securities Declaration.
  • Not having had a visa application rejected or canceled.

The work and holiday visa is another option to study and work in Australia. With this visa, you can get a full-time job, enroll in a 4-month course, and travel as many times as you want in and out of the cities of Australia.

Unlike the student visa, its duration is 1 year, but you can renew it 2 times in a row. To apply for the first time, you must be between 18 and 30 years of age and meet these requirements to immigrate to Australia:

  • Be a citizen or born in one of the countries eligible for Work and Holiday.
  • Scan and send an image of the first page of your passport showing your photo, your name and the expiration date of the document.
  • Have completed tertiary studies or 2 years of a university degree.
  • Demonstrate that you have functional English.

Another very important requirement is that you do not travel with dependent family members. For this visa you are required to have money to pay for your stay: 5,000 AUD minimum.

Working and holiday visa (Subclass 417)

The work and holiday visa and the working holiday visa allow you to do the same. The difference is that the requirements are a little more flexible and it is only available for some countries in North America and Europe except Spain. In addition, you do not need to certify your level of English.

Temporary Work visa (subclass 400)

If your objective is to immigrate to Australia to work for some time, you need a Temporary Work visa to live in the country for 6 months.

The main requirement is to have skills, experience, or knowledge highly demanded career by the country and to meet these demands:

  1. To be able to support yourself and your family members during their stay in the country.
  2. Not working in the Australian entertainment industry.
  3. Be a genuine visitor and prove that your stay is temporary.
  4. Only perform the work for which you were granted the visa.
  5. Do not have a canceled visa or a rejected application.

Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)

The Temporary Skill Shortage visa is designed to meet the demand for skilled labor in Australia.

In other words, if you are a professional in your country and there is no Australian citizen who can do the job, you can obtain this visa to immigrate to Australia.

At the outset, we warn you that obtaining approval for this visa is complicated. These are some of the requirements you must meet:

  • Be nominated by a certified sponsor.

Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189)

  • Drafting a letter of interest (EOI) using the SkillSelect.
  • Receive an invitation from the government to participate in the program.
  • Answer a form and obtain a passing grade of at least 65 points. Otherwise, you will not be eligible.
  • Have a profession that appears on the list of qualified skills of the visa subclass 189.

Skilled Nominated visa (Subclass 190)

The subclass 190 allows you to do the same things as the Skilled independent visa and the application requirements are the same.

The only difference is that, if you wish to obtain the Skilled Nominated visa, you must also be nominated by an Australian employer.
